Advertisements As Illusions

I have realized that many times when I look through magazines or see fancy ads, especially ads for vacations, it could be a form of illusion. Since there are so many things that one would want that companies describe on their ads and persuade the viewer to purchase, it seems like a fantasy because one could see the picture of how great a product may be, but he/she can't purchase or obtain it for various reasons, like lack of money or time. I've noticed one could also get carried away by this. In my own experience, I recognized that I could sometimes just flip through magazines or watch various forms of advertisements via TV or other sources for hours, just lost in a world of imagination and unmet desires, creating a void that can't be filled. Therefore, some people that get too carried away with advertisements can even fall into depression, since they have an unobtainable a mirage before their eyes. So I would suggest that nobody gets too far with looking at things they can't get anyways. What do YOU think?
