I first saw this Aveeno ad in a magazine and noticed right away that there is a specific target audience. Since the ad describes a cream for "younger-looking skin" and has a picture of a woman on it, then the advertiser is focused on advertising the product for older women who want to look younger. In addition to the phrase "nature's secret for ageless beauty," I also realized that the little pieces of wheat under the night cream bottle is meant to make the consumer think that the cream is organic since it has a natural product of wheat next to it which is healthy. Therefore, the advertiser wants the consumer to conclude that the Aveeno cream is good for one's skin. I also think that this ad has an advertising technique of a glittering generality, since it conveys that if a woman uses this cream, she will automatically become beautiful.
